Day 2 - Graphic 45 & Want 2 Scrap Blog Hop

Welcome all to an amazing Tuesday filled with tons of inspiration!!
If you haven't already heard, Graphic 45 and Want 2 Scrap have joined up for an "out of this world" blog hop.
August 8th - August 12th, drop by 3-4 featured artists blogs a day for a daily dose of creativity and leave your comments for a a chance to win some yummy prizes!  So make sure to stop by both G45 and Want 2 Scrap to get complete schedules for the week, see what you may have missed and find out more info on what you could win!
And don't forget to visit BOTH their Facebook sites for even more prize giveaways this week!

So on that note, I would just like to say, buckle up and enjoy the ride!  I believe we are in for an outstanding week of artistry after seeing yesterdays stunning creations and can only dream of what is to come . Plus, combining Graphic 45 with Want 2 Scrap AND prize giveaways... things couldn't get any better!!
Now onto my creation...

Confession Time:  I have never been  much of a mini book maker, it takes me WAY too long to finish one..
So instantly when I saw these yummylicous chipboard doors from Want 2 Scrap, I knew they had to be doors leading to something!  But  Doors of what?  To where?  Being a HUGE Halloween junky along with my 5 year old daughter and a lover of all things altered, I decided they were doors to a crypt!!  Built into a shadowbox, making the perfect Creepy Count Down Calendar!  Complete with nesting crows, tiny books and potions, drawers for candy and even a hidden door!

The shadowbox used to create this is Kaiser Craft's Advent Calendar. It came complete with the drawers and dividers for 24 spaces. Which makes it extremely versatile in creating a mix of different sized display boxes. And it was almost the perfect size for the Want 2 Scrap chipboard doors. After a few adjustments.. building and installing some chipboard door frames...
Truly meant to be, even the Kaiser chipboard numbers fit perfect on the Want 2 Scrap Fleur De Le !

Displayed around the outside of the doors are tons of fun little Halloween goodies and found objects of new and old!

G45's doorplates make the perfect doors for shadowboxes too!!  Just attach your hinges directly to your door plate using E600 and glue wherever a door is needed! (If only life were that easy!)

And hidden inside.....

An Eyeball and bones, some fun found objects and a hungry vulture...

And now for my favorite part of all!  Behind those Haunted Want 2 Scrap Doors...

Love the "Proper Gentleman" with the skull over his face, soo creepy!!
Graphic 45 really does create the best papers for so many occasions, and never forgetting Halloween!  So many lines that work, this project uses 6 different G45 lines in total!!  Mixed with their fun
